Has anyone had a peek at this. I know their are loads on the web.

Another Nice easy read for all cat owners who thought they had the theory of Corona virus & FIP all worked out.
If anyone has other information and updates please add link to this thread.

We as responsible breeders and cat lovers should have some type of fund to help with the discovery and iradication and try to help find the cure from these terrible diseases.
We would in turn be helping our own species.

Both FIP and Herpes need more funding to find a valid treatment and management for both.
Vaccinations just don't do it for either.

I know Dr Addie is working in the UK and others in the US.
But she still leads the field on the question of FIP.

Hi Penny
Well i must admit i didn't really know much about FIP even though i went to a ragdoll workshop last year and there was a discussion about it, i found it very hard to understand.
But this was idiot proof :D so it has made a lot more sense to me now.

I have decided to make some small donations as it is made so easy with paypal. I have to confess i struggle with charities that want to take large amounts out of your bank account each month. I think times are hard for most people at the moment!!

No I agree I do not sign up to charities that want a direct debit from my bank account. I think that is a real cheek.. I don't mind giving when I have it,But do not like to be treated as if it is a debt when i cannot afford it.
The real status of the countries funds at the moment is critical for those that were already struggling.

I agree with that, I don't offer money to charities that ask for it in a direct debit, the main reason for this is not that I can't afford it, most are asking for two pounds a month, we can all afford that, it's that they have big advertising things on the telly, full page Ads in magazines, payed employees walking the streets taking your bank details and a fully working call centre. Probably lucky if ten pence out of the original two quid actually gets to your chosen charity, much better to donate what you can afford directly to the charity,

I regularly have the RSPCA ringing me, i tell them straight off, i donate when i can and regularly, but wont do it by direct debit, and wont agree to a certain amount every month, :x also they ask if you have thought of leaving anything
in your will, i tell them i have nothing to leave, even to family, which is true,
Do they think all pensioners are rolling in money? i wish,
If i ever won a huge amount on the lottery, i would donate to a all the charities i could, but unless that happens, charity begins at home, and to others when i can afford it, :)

Fully agree. My favourite charities are The Iberian Lynx... Spain., The Cat Survival Trust... Hertfordshire, The Scottish Wild Cat,....The Native Red Squirrel. I find my best use is to help make people aware of their circumstances. Apart from the money side it takes a lot of my time.which I think sometimes is as good if not better than a couple of pound a month.

The Iberian people need people to track and document the cats in the central regions of Spain and help to save their environment ...The Sanctuary always need donations.

The Cat Survival Trust in Herts have a talk and tour on Sunday 4th December. meet Dr Terry Moore. Lovely man who has a sanctuary in Coldicote and Argentina. He is doing so much for the Snow Leopards. He is always in need of volunteers.

The Scottish Wild cats are in need of donations adopt a Scottish wildcat . They have some really lovely Christmas cards for sale at present.Would suit all of your cat loving friends.

Their are several charities involved with our Native Squirrels

I have been invited over to Spain. I am really pleased at the invite,It makes all the effort worthwhile when you are acknowledged, although I was happy to do it without the recognition.
