my girls eye is so much better this evening. it was her first mating so lets hope if we do this again she now learns to run very quick or get her paws ready for the boxing fight. i did expect her to fight with the boy but with my girls and stud its mainly growling then the boy goes off to sleep.
the vet has said he can scan her in 3 weeks to check for kittens and if any look deformed which is good as then i dont have more time to worry. she must have taken after all those matings so im hoping something will come good out of a bad situation. i also went to visit the other breeder for a cup of tea and a chat which i thought i should build bridges with her as it wasnt her fault and she did say she wished she had told me sooner. so i guess we both learnt something from this experience.

Really pleased your girl is on the mend angelgirl As you say, it was a new experience for you and just because it didn't go well this time doesn't mean it won't be fine next time around. I doubt a small amount of metacam will have done much harm, I hope you get some nice good news at the scan and she continues to recover well

my girl had a scan today, great news she is expecting 3 kittens and all are looking good. no deformed kittens and they are all the same size. can relax now and enjoy the arrival of my first kittens from her. so glad the metacam didnt have any effect on them which is always a worry. her eye is cleared up now and apart from eating like a pony she is very happy.

I am so pleased for you angelgirl, yes you can relax now, what a relief the kittens should be due very soon shouldnt they?

Good News a success story. Penny

shes due about 16days. i have 2 kittens that are leaving me next saturday, will miss them but im glad both kittens are going together as although the white kitten has both green eyes the vet confirmed what i had already expected, poor baby is deaf. the owners know this and agreed to take him with his littermate for free giving him a wonderful home. my queen of the deaf boy is being neutered tomorrow which is sad but i cant risk another deaf kitten so its for the best, she will be my pampered pet.
looking forward to this litter and hoping for a cream female kitten to be born so i can keep her. its the waiting thats more tiring than anything else as i normally stay up with them from 63 days and then made to wait until 65/66 days. just hope all goes to plan and i dont need emergency vets at 3am like last time.
