OK now I am confused
I can only assume he is having a GA tomorrow as he isn't allowed food after 9pm tonight or water after 7am tomorrow. Also it is costing about £50 :?
If it can be done safely and pain free under a local I shall want to know why my vet isn't doing this

Hi If you are going to the vet then ask if they keep cimicat. In my experience it is the best milk on the market for kittens and convellesing adults. It is about £11 a tub and you make it up as you need it just like baby milk. Has all the right calcium and vitamins to go along side his food. Also cook some fish and just give that to him for 12 hours then reintroduce his normal diet slowly.
Good luck
Paula

I talked to my vet about anaesthetic, he did say some vets do a castration under LA but he personally preferred a GA as it is still an operation (although simple) and Dex won't know or feel a thing :) Also GA's are much better than they used to be and carry very little risk. I'm happy either way but it was nice to discuss it with him too :D

I guess they heavily sedate the cat Veejay :? Having given it some thought I think I am glad Dex is having a GA, at least if anything goes wrong he is already hooked up to all the right machines and won't know a thing :D

I hope your daughters kitten is feeling better today Sheila :)
Phew, Dexter is home and seems fine, although he looks quite sore :( I can feel where they put the microchip, there is a bump or little scab or something, is this normal :?:
