Just been looking at the Highlander on google Penny - they look lovely and sound very playful and intelligent. Do you know of any other owners in this country? will you be showing and breeding your girl?

I am the one and only and the first in the UK ...The first in Europe to own one, In fact the first outside of the USA and Worldwide... ...A lady now a friend in Europe has now bought Highlanders so we are now 2 in Europe. She bought hers straight over I had to go through pets passport.so we bought them over together in the same pet carrier ... I believe a breeder has now bought a Highlander in Japan..
If I lose her it will be tears all round.I bought her 01/02/08 my birthday present to me. (enough of the personal stuff)They are no bigger than a large domestic cat because this is what they are . All domestic breeds will only attain a certain size.. So any hype of this massive cat half the size of a elephant is unfounded. However they are the nearest looking cat to a wild cat their is... in my opinion and others that have been breeding them for some time..

Sounds fantastic - how exciting for you. I saw a picture of a male Highlander kitten and he looked like a little silver lion cub, very nice!! I think I have seen your girl and the one that has gone to europe on a website, she is lovely.

The Siberian, what I have are relativly new in this country, a few about now but not so many breeders.

Will you post some pictures of her? is she doing well? Have you booked her for any shows, you can show her with Tica cant you.

oh wow! will you be breeding them with this other lady?

its a shame when there arent many of them about, like the Chausie cat if there was a few mor epeople in this country i would be more inclined to get one & go through all of that as we can create & get the cat out there, but with no one else it would be really hard alone

What happened. Cindy came through and offered me one the year before and I ummed and arred...I kept going to her site and suddenely saw Hellvellyn who I immediately liked so bought her....She however is a polyfoot so is not suitable for show only curled ears and a bobtail are eligible. I will hope to have kittens suitable for showing however it won't be yet.
When or if I do have kittens I would hope that other reputable breeders/enthusiasts would like to join the group and show them.
They gained their preliminary status at TICA May 08....
Penny :D
Taylorbaby stop being a woos.  I have gone alone but don't really care if others like or don't or if they take off. I just like the cat that's good enough for me. If it doesn't work I have a pet that I like.

haha!!

am so not a wus!! *sTamps fOOt!!* 8)

i was offered a breeding & showing pair, but all i was worried about that say i had 1 litter of kittens & kept one-so my owns lines, there would be no other Chausie cat that i could b reed the kitten with to further the lines as there are not more in the country! but if there was say 5 others interested in this country we could create the lines further?

I have decided to stay with the Bengals and concentrate on shows for now & maybe in 3/5years i will get my Chausie! :D
