I do not think Serval crosses will be recognised at governing bodies . It is illegal to own a wild specy of cat in the UK without a dangerous animal permit..... I believe it would need to be 4 generations away before any governing body would look at at them however I could be wrong.

Oh wow how fabulous is that cat?
Take a look at his photo gallery - he looks just like a tiger cub in his younger days - truly beautiful 8)
And yes - he is MASSIVE  It sounds like they are the type of people who would have the correct authorisation as they were recommended to have him? :)

Yes they are extremely priviledged people :)
I am always a little cautious before I agree with wild cats being kept in a domestic situation, however these people have raised and bottle fed this cub since birth, and OMG does he look a happy chap  I love the pics of him cuddling up to the other cats - sooo cute 8)

The reason Karen Sausman came up with the idea of the Serengeti is to stop people taking Servals from their mums in the wild and hand-rearing them - she believes wild cats should be left in the wild, and that the same "look" could be achieved with the Serengeti. This is why she will not allow any Savannah to be used in the Serengeti breeding program, it goes against everything she believes in.
