Thanks for the advice, Em.

I really don't know where I'm going to get hold of fresh pumpkin at this time of year, though. About as close as I can find is this pumpkin baby food:
http://www.waitrose.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... reId=10317Ingredients: Organic Pumpkin 30%, Water, Organic Carrots 22%, Organic Mango 17%, Organic Quinoa Flakes 5%
I don't know what quinoa flakes are or if they're safe for cats.
The thing is, if he gets constipated during the day, he'll moan for a few seconds after trying, but then goes back to his usual self. If he gets consipated during the night, though, he completely kicks off and scratches at the floor constantly to keep everyone awake. Clearly he's very uncomfortable when he gets like that, but I never know if to get up to be with him or tell him off...I mean, cats can pull every trick in the book to get attention and I don't want him to turn this into a game that he wants to play at 4am every morning!
He'll be at vets later this week for his boosters, so I'll mention it to them then, but I was hoping there was something I could give him now that would naturally help him along. He likes cream, but I don't give him much in case he gets the runs, would a teaspoon of that make him softer?
