Hi All :)
Dexter has quite bad breath sometimes :? I know it can be a symptom of dental issues or even kidney disease but as he is only 6 months old I'm sure it's neither of these. Could it be the food he eats? He has RC Kitten dried food and a variety of pouches including Whiskas, AGAIL and Tesco. Any tips please :?: :D
Also a friend of mine was told by her vet that her 18 month old cat has quite bad plaque on his teeth - she has bought some 'Plaque off' which you put in food - anyone tried this :?:
Lastly, Dex sometimes smells like a boy cat - don't laugh, not sure how to describe it  He had his bits off around a month ago, could he still have male hormones that cause this and it will go away over time :?: Obviously this is not a problem, just wondered why
Em x

I think it could be the food he eats Em, :? if his teeth are ok, and not really likely to be kidney disease,
Cant think of anything else, unless maybe he is constipated, that maybe could cause it :?
Also i believe losing kitten teeth could cause it :)

Most likely constipation at his age Em - I have similar issues with Django sometimes. The vet reassured me that it wasn't dental :)

Thanks both :D
I don't think he is constipated as he has a number two every day in his tray around the same time, but I still have a couple of cubes of pumpkin in the freezer so won't hurt to give him a little of that :)
Does he have kitten teeth now Veejay :?: And if so do you know at what age he gets his adult teeth through :?:

Thanks angelgirl that is reassuring :D I didn't realise that kittens get their adult teeth over six months old, although I should do really as I have noticed that Dexter's canines don't look like an adults yet

I think its around that age they start getting the adult teeth through Em :) , i didnt even realise until someone mentioned that their kitten had lost a tooth, that it was going from kitten teeth to adult teeth, because you dont really notice them coming out usually :)

They can start getting the adult teeth pushing through at around 4 months. This why breeders that show keep them back until after they are 6 months. It is too see if they have a perfect bite. Yes male cats can still smell of male cat even after the chop. It should lessen as time goes on. I have a male that smells disgusting good job he uses the tray. He is so loveable too. Penny :D
