Hi , I had a 6 week old kitten that was similar but had the runs and I took her to vets. He gave her synulox and i fed her on hills AD food with extra water with a syringe, she only weighed 400 grams. After a day she started to put weight on, I have kept her and is now 5 months old and doing very well. Hope this helps.

that's good. :) It was expensive about £1-82p per tin but it was worth it and I gave her it for about 2 weeks 3 -4 times a day.

Once kittens has tried it, they will not be able to get enough, they seem to like the smell and taste. I gave it to a kitten from another litter and he just loved it. They are both slightly smaller than their litter mates so I have kept them because I could not bear anybody else buying them and they are so socialised and gorgeous and I really wanted to see how they developed. Good Luck. xxx

Showing my ignorance here, but is that like what my vet calls 'rescue food'? Looks like pate. :D

They use it when an animal has been poorly and need extra nourishment.

The name looked familiar - I think one of my previous cats had that once following surgery years ago :D

Vets do recommend it after surgery Em, and yes it is like pate, very easy for them to digest, and although expensive ,worth it to get their appetite going :D
